A feast of contemporary poetry in Falmouth

The second Cornwall Contemporary Poetry Festival was held in Falmouth on the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November 2016.

It featured readings, discussions and workshops with some of the UK’s most celebrated and compelling poets, as well as a poetry slam, a floating open-mic, a symposium on poetry and illustration, a children’s poetry project with Falmouth Art Gallery, and the fabulous Poetry Postie – all in the beautiful surroundings of one of the UK’s liveliest coastal towns. There’s a video that captures some of the festival highlights below.

Thanks to all who took part and helped to make the festival such a magical event.

The next Cornwall Contemporary Poetry Festival will be in 2018. We look forward to seeing you there!

In the meantime, do check out Making Waves, an exciting new competition for spoken poetry launched by Falmouth Poetry Group.
